In Roman times, Ferrals-les-Corbières was known as Villa Ferrae.
Even then, the valiant soldiers of the Empire who had received land as a reward for their bravery planted vines.

GRAPE VARIETIES: 40% Grenache noir – 30% Carignan – 30% Syrah
AGEING: one year in new Bordeaux barrels for the Syrah.
Blended 2 months before bottling.
CHARACTERISTICS: brilliant dark red color with violet highlights. Spicy (black pepper) and fruity (raspberry & blackberry) on the nose; complex on aeration with toast, sental wood and sweet spices. Tender, savory and spicy on the palate, the wine melts in the mouth with subdued tannins.
KEEPING POTENTIAL: 8/10 years
