VARIETIES: 80% CARIGNAN (100 years) – 20% GRENACHE (35 years)
SOIL: stony clay-limestone slopes. Terroir of Boutenac
VINIFICATION: hand-picked, followed by a month of traditional fermentation with temperature control.
AGEING: in vats, then in bottles
CHARACTERISTICS: brilliant, dark ruby color. Rich nose of caramelized fruit and sweet spices; notes of undergrowth and toast on aeration, followed by dried fruits such as prune and fig. The palate is silky, with velvety, mellow tannins and a hint of licorice.
